Ingredients:
- 1 can sardines in tomato sauce
- 1 small onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 small tomato, diced
- 1 cup cooked garlic rice
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon fish sauce (patis)
- 1/2 teaspoon calamansi or lemon juice
- Fresh cilantro for garnish
Instructions:
- Heat a small amount of oil in a pan over medium heat.
- Sauté garlic and onion until fragrant.
- Add tomato and cook until softened.
- Add sardines with sauce, breaking them up slightly.
- Stir in fish sauce and simmer for 3-4 minutes.
- In another pan, fry an egg to your preference.
- Serve sardines over garlic rice, topped with the fried egg.
- Garnish with calamansi juice and cilantro.
