Ingredients:
- 150g sushi-grade ahi tuna steak
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 cup mixed seaweed salad (store-bought or homemade)
- 1/2 cucumber, thinly sliced
- 1/2 avocado, sliced
- 1 radish, thinly sliced
- 1 tablespoon toasted sesame seeds
For Ponzu Dressing:
- 2 tablespoons ponzu sauce
- 1 teaspoon grated ginger
- 1/2 teaspoon honey
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- 1 teaspoon rice vinegar
Instructions:
- Season tuna with salt, pepper, and a light brush of sesame oil.
- Heat a non-stick pan over high heat until very hot.
- Sear tuna for 30 seconds on each side (keeping center rare).
- Let tuna rest for 5 minutes, then slice thinly.
- Arrange seaweed salad on a plate.
- Place cucumber, avocado, and radish slices around the seaweed.
- Top with seared tuna slices.
- Whisk dressing ingredients together and drizzle over the salad.
- Sprinkle with toasted sesame seeds.
