Ingredients:

  • 2 cups fresh lato (sea grapes) or other seaweed, rinsed and drained
  • 1 small tomato, diced
  • 1 small red onion, thinly sliced
  • 2 tablespoons calamansi or lime juice
  • 1 tablespoon fish sauce
  • 1 small chili, chopped (optional)
  • 1 hard-boiled egg, sliced
  • Black pepper to taste

Instructions:

  1. Blanch lato or seaweed in boiling water for 10 seconds, then immediately transfer to ice water. Drain well.
  2. In a bowl, combine lato, tomato, and onion.
  3. Mix calamansi juice and fish sauce to make the dressing.
  4. Pour dressing over the salad and toss gently.
  5. Add chopped chili if using.
  6. Season with black pepper.
  7. Top with sliced hard-boiled egg.
  8. Serve immediately.
