This is my third project using the SplitText library and I am suffering having to do many things within Webflow.
There’s something going on with SplitText that keeps messing up the fixed positioning of elements, and I’m not sure why. I’m also learning that SplitText is inherently janky, which is why people opt for SplitType, which is allegedly a more lightweight and robust library.
I like the idea of having full control over scroll triggers and when things are animated, but it cost me a lot of time trying to bandaid a bunch of things going wrong in Webflow that it wasn’t worth the headache.
GSAP has been a struggle for me, mostly because I’m still bb and I’m basically reverse-engineering javascript based on what I see, not what I know. Because I know nothing.
Maybe 2025 is the year I actually take a proper development course.
