Someone said, you’re not a business if you have no control of the types of projects you’re working on — you’re just working another job, and that hit me like a brick.
A lot of us freelancers are happy to be working, but there’s a difference between running a business the way I want to run it, and doing another 9-5 working on mindless tasks that don’t really serve my vision or bottom line.
At that point I might as well just go back to working corporate, maybe.
That could be a slippery slope of thought, to discredit the kind of work that I’m doing and the new skills and people I’ve encountered along the way.
